Jeff Worman
2007 CONSTRUCTION VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR

This year, many of you wrote in proclaiming that this was long overdue. The recipient of the 2007 Construction Volunteer of the Year is Jeff Worman.

Jeff Worman is the most dedicated volunteer we have worked with at Habitat. There are volunteers who put in more hours, but that is only because Jeff has a full time job. He has been a house leader on many of the homes, and is one of the few (if not the only one) Charlie can let work on his own knowing the house will be completed with the highest quality in the Habitat Lehigh Valley organization. He not only contributes his construction and leadership skills, but has also drawn the plans for some of the homes. Has great building skills, design and leadership abilities.

Jeff is on the Job every Saturday. This workday is filled with good natured banter between the crew and Jeff. We joke that we are guaranteed entry into Heaven because we are suffering here on earth with Jeff. He takes the kidding in stride even when we remind him of his mistakes like the time he cut the cord off of the chop saw or when we complain that he never gives us time off for lunch (except when someone buys pizza).

Jeff overbuilds everything! He builds closet walls so thick that we can't even drill through them. They could be load bearing walls! Many of you can remember the 'Taj Mahal' Jeff built, it was his first overbuilt house.

We can't think of any more deserving individual to recognize for this 2007 Construction Volunteer of the Year Award. Jeff's commitment to Habitat is outstanding and truly deserving of this recognition

Jeff, please accept our heartfelt.....

CONGRATULATIONS!
